This Spring Break, I took an amazing railfanning trip to San Diego! I went there in 2012, but I couldn't do much since I was with a group, and I've wanted to come back since. Unfortunately, the trains were dead that weekend due to track work, so I just planespotted with Amtrak and AWVR Fan for the first day.
0:00 - Before our flight, I rode the underground subway / interterminal train just for fun. I loved riding this as a kid.
4:10 - Taking off from Houston IAH. My flight was UA271 on a United Airlines 737-924 N39463.
18:19 - Landing at San Diego SAN very close to the buildings!
24:43 - After I arrived at the ATSF depot from the bus, I caught the vintage MTS trolley 529.
25:41 - AMTK 6907 and 455 stuck at the station due to the track closure.
25:47 - Highlights of planespotting around the airport that afternoon, including the special Southwest Illinois One N918WN and a British Airways 747!
30:50 - Nightime trolley with neat decals.
