I haven't done a full week in the life vlog since early last year and thought it would be fun to film another one. In today's new vlog we shop for Christmas parties, we go house shopping, we attend two homeschool group Christmas parties, do a deep house cleaning, and we celebrate Daniel's 4th birthday two days early!

You may have noticed videos have slowed down on my channel at the moment. I share in today's video between all 10 of us being sick for what lingered into two weeks, followed by taking the older kids to see New York City at Christmas, I've kinda lost my online steam during this holiday season. There will still be a video or two up this week and Christmas week. Then we'll jump back in with videos all. the. time for 2019!!

Welcome, welcome! Today I have a day in the life of a large homeschool family birthday!! We start every New Year off with what we call "International Liam Day" and celebrate Liam's birthday. He is such a fun, sweet, and wildly creative boy. He blesses us daily! What would we do without our Liam?!?!

We do large family birthday's in different ways. Some years we buy theme park passes and celebrate every birthday at the theme park. Other years every kid picks a family outing plus we do a party at home. Some years we have big parties with friends. For 2019 momma is tired (ha!) and we have an entire year where each child gets to pick a restaurant for their birthday (which they're very excited about), we'll do their gift opening there, with cake/ice cream later back at home. I don't know, that was supposed to be a simple year, but already sounds complicated, lol!!!

Friend, I am here, but we've been so sick this past week, whew! Here's a very wild look at our large family meals of the week and our large family meal plan while we were super sick.

This is yet again where having a bunch of freezer meals prepped and ready to go is so helpful. I also cooked a few times and sent my husband out for pizza, ha! One of our teen sons made homemade brownies at one point. Then somewhere between the fevers and coughs I made homemade chicken noodle soup with a pasture raised hen in my electric pressure cooker. We made leftovers stretch and lived off sugar free popsicles at some points, too.

Worried about kids having some chocolate milk, pizza, and a brownie over the course of 7 days? Here's the info I shared with a concerned commenter, "The popsicles were sugar free. I'm super diligent on making sure everyone gets *tons of fluids* when they're sick. Also over an entire week a kiddo having one brownie, 3 cookies, 2 slices of pizza and 1 glass of chocolate milk isn't a big deal. They also had tons of peaches, eggs, chicken soup, and yogurt. I went last night and spent $200 on fresh fruits and veggies. Now here's the hoping the government doesn't recall them all for listeria or worse. 😂😂😂"

In today's large family mom video you get to see me home alone with 5 kids ages 9, 7, 5, 3 and 1 for the entire weekend! We go to the library to load up on good books. I hand wash a bazillion dishes since the dishwasher went out on me. We bake pumpkins and make homemade pumpkin pies (you can watch that video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJfJk...), and we also have a sleepover movie party!

On Sunday Liam helps make scrambled eggs. I continue to cut Benjamin's hair (that was a weekend project, ha!). We make it to church on time, and then we all manage to get in and out of Walmart together.

It was a special family weekend even though we were missing 4 other family members! xoxo

It has been a dream of mine to take our older kids into New York City during the Christmas season to experience the sights and sounds of city holidays. In this part one Christmas in New York City Travel Vlog I share our road trip snacks, driving my family into New York City and finding parking, plus I also share a tour of our cheap for the season hotel find.

For day two in NYC we walked over ten miles! We also road the subway, enjoyed Times Square, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Sax 5th Ave, Rockefeller Center, Central park, and even ate at a fantastic Ethiopian restaurant!
